York Health Economics Consortium (YHEC) has over 35 staff with extensive expertise in health economics, economic evaluation, systematic reviewing, information retrieval, NHS and public sector service design evaluation and outcomes research.
Our multidisciplinary team includes experienced health economists, modellers, information specialists and systematic reviewers. YHEC maintains a worldwide reputation in the field of health economics and systematic reviewing and staff are encouraged to publish research and present at conferences to promote YHEC’s rigorous research and academic standards. YHEC’s Workstream Leaders
YHEC’s Director Dr Matthew Taylor leads the economic evaluations and modelling team. YHEC’s health economists and modellers are highly experienced in undertaking health technology assessment (HTA) and economic evaluations on a range of healthcare interventions, and the team includes economists, analysts and statisticians. Julie Glanville is Associate Director of the systematic reviews and information services workstream at YHEC and coordinates a team of systematic reviewers and information specialists. The team have extensive experience in identifying and synthesising research evidence to support reviews, network meta-analyses and economic models in a range of formats. Nick Hex leads YHEC’s programme of work with the NHS and the public sector. He directs a very experienced team of consultants, analysts and modellers with extensive experience of working with and in the NHS and public sector. YHEC’s work in this sector is varied including economic evaluation and modelling, literature and evidence review and analytical support. YHEC works with national and local NHS and public sector bodies, including Vanguard sites, and offers consultancy services that support informed decision making about new models of care.
