Qualitative review

The term ‘qualitative review’ may be used either to refer to a review where the source studies reviewed report only qualitative data, or to refer to a review where the results are reported qualitatively. In the latter case, the source studies may have reported quantitatively. Care should be taken to define exactly what is meant by a qualitative review, and to justify why a quantitative review was not appropriate/possible.
