Social cost-benefit analysis

Social cost-benefit analysis is similar to cost-benefit analysis, but it considers the monetary and non-monetary costs and benefits to society as a whole. All relevant costs and benefits are valued in monetary terms, unless it is not proportionate or possible to do so. It is useful for considering the impacts of a policy or project, and it seeks to measure wider social and environmental impacts such as health, educational attainment, and environmental impacts.
