Economic Evaluation for Oncology
Description
Master the specific challenges of building robust economic models for oncology with this focused, one-day training course.
Oncology poses unique difficulties for health technology assessment (HTA), from complex survival data to the long-term impact of treatments. This course is designed to give you a deep dive into the most effective modelling methods and provide practical solutions for the areas that are most challenging, including:
- Survival curve analysis and data extrapolation.
- Quality of life modelling (including adverse events).
- Handling treatment discontinuation and disease progression.
- Post-progression model assumptions.
Drawing on real-world examples from previous HTA submissions, we will provide you with a number of recommended modelling frameworks. You will leave with the expertise to confidently commission, review, and understand economic models that meet the rigorous standards of HTA. A provisional agenda for this course is available.
Note: This course is tailored for those who commission or manage oncology models and does not include a "hands-on" modelling component.
