Understanding and Critiquing Health Economic Models
Description
This training course has now passed. The next dates for 2026 will be confirmed in January.
Commissioning or using a health economic model can be a major investment. It is essential to have the skills to evaluate it with confidence. This one-day course gives you the knowledge to effectively critique and validate models built by others.
This training course has not been designed to teach delegates how to build models. Instead, the course is aimed at those who will review or depend on models built by other researchers. Topics that will be covered include:
- The strengths and uses of economic modelling
- The limitations and constraints of different modelling approaches
- Examples of commonly observed errors in models
This course will allow you to confidently review models, identify potential flaws, and make better-informed decisions based on their outputs.
A provisional agenda for this course is available.
