Cost-effectiveness acceptability curve

The cost-effectiveness acceptability curve (CEAC) is a graph that summarises the impact of uncertainty on the result of an economic evaluation, often presented as an incremental cost-effectiveness ratio in relation to various potential cost-effectiveness thresholds. The horizontal axis of the CEAC displays a range of these thresholds, while the vertical axis shows the probability that the intervention will be deemed cost-effective at each specific threshold. It can typically be derived directly from the results of a probabilistic sensitivity analysis. The CEAC assists decision makers in understanding the level of uncertainty associated with a decision to adopt or reject a new health technology.
