In the evolving landscape of health technology assessment (HTA), indirect treatment comparisons (ITC) and mixed treatment comparisons (MTC) – collectively known as network meta-analyses (NMA) – have become indispensable tools for evaluating multiple competing interventions. However, navigating the complexities of NMA projects requires careful planning and an understanding of several important considerations.
This workshop offers a unique and practical introduction to the key challenges and essential steps involved in commissioning and conducting successful NMAs for HTA. Our experts will guide you through crucial planning stages, including clearly defining the review question, strategically identifying relevant studies, rigorously assessing the similarity of studies within a network, developing a robust statistical analysis plan, and effectively utilising NMA outputs in economic models. The workshop also focuses on the practical issues involved in commissioning and performing NMAs. Please note that this training does not involve coding with WinBUGS or other programming software.
