Receiver operating characteristic
A receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curve is a graph that shows how well a model can distinguish between two groups, such as diseased and normal. It plots the true positive rate (TPR), which is the sensitivity of the intervention, against the false positive rate (FPR), or 1 – specificity for different threshold values. It is a useful way to determine the relationship between specificity and sensitivity, and helps to determine the optimal threshold for a new diagnostic test.
